Performance Vocalist Mary can sing a variety of styles on demand but her heart is in jazz and she's gained much experience with sought after jazz duo Astoria’s Lounge. Their notoriously chic and professional performances at weddings, corporate events and jazz clubs have attracted the attention of many prestigious venues across the UK. Their distinctive sound has even been noticed further afield and they have been offered work in venues across the world. Bassoonist Mary is an accomplished virtuoso bassoonist with some remarkable performing experience behind her. This rather misunderstood instrument is known for being an endangered species and is not for the faint hearted! This tricky instrument has proved to be an excellent sidekick to Mary’s vocal work and it has taken her world-wide. She has played internationally and currently plays with orchestras and secular groups, including The Lugard Wind Quintet, formed by ex members of the Hong Kong Chamber Orchestra.
